Bishop Culp inducted into Lucas County Wall of Friends

MONDAY, Feb. 10, 2025 — Bishop James Robert Alan Culp, emeritus pastor of First Church of God in Toledo, will be inducted into the Lucas County Wall of Friends at 11 a.m. tomorrow by the Lucas County Board of Commissioners in their meeting room off the lobby on the first floor of One Government Center in downtown Toledo.
A leader of the African-American community in the city for decades, a past president of the Toledo Chapter of the NAACP, and one of the founders of the Toledo Community Coalition, The Rev. Dr. Culp has been a leading moral voice in Toledo and has dedicated his life to the betterment of the poor and disenfranchised in the community.
He spearheaded the Changing Minds Changing Lives series of anti-racism forums in the city that drew thousands to the effort and he helped create the Dialogue To Change program in Toledo that educated hundreds about racism and ways to dismantle it in the city.
