September Racial Justice Book Discussion

September Racial Justice Book Discussion

The YWCA of Northwest Ohio will hold its monthly Virtual Book Discussion on racial justice issues and topics from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, September 19. This month’s book is Disability Visibility, First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century, edited by Alice Wong.

One in five people in the United States lives with a disability. Some disabilities are visible, others less apparent–but all are underrepresented in media and popular culture. Activist Alice Wong brings together this urgent, galvanizing collection of contemporary essays by disabled people.

Join us in the discussion about this important book, as part of the YWCA of Northwest Ohio’s Until Justice Just Is programming.

Please register for the book discussion by going to bit.ly/DISABILITYVISIBILITY.
