TCC’s Erika White sworn in today as State Representative

Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025– Toledo Community Coalition member Erika White will be sworn in today as House District 41 Representative in the Ohio House of Representatives. The ceremony, which is open to the public, is at 11:30 a.m. at Communications Workers of America Local 4319 headquarters, 705 Lime City Road, in Rossford, Ohio, where she has been president.

Ms. White, a Democrat, is a mother, union leader, and community activist. She also has been vice president of the Greater Northwest Ohio AFL-CIO and was elected as a delegate to the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

She ran in 2022 to represent the former House District 42, but lost to former state Rep. Derek Merrin (R. Monclova Township). After districts were redrawn, she saw an opportunity last year to run to represent House District 41.

The 41st House district covers part of South Toledo, Maumee, Holland, and Springfield Township.
