Housing insecurity focus of virtual meeting March 17
Buckeye Health Plan is hosting a Community Agency Virtual Meeting from 11 a.m. to noon March 17 focused on housing insecurity as a social determinant of health barrier impacting the health of its members and the communities it serves.
“Where we work, live, and play can have a significant impact on one’s health. Often referred to as ‘social determinants of health,’ these factors can drive as much as 80% of health outcomes. Buckeye wants to collaborate with your agency to address challenges related to 9social determinants of health). Ideas and best practices will be shared globally with Buckeye’s partner networks and local leaders,” Buckeye saud in an email to area community organizing nonprofits.
