Workforce Specialist Account Executive

As the Workforce Specialist Account Executive for the State of Ohio, my main responsibilities consist of acting as a field liaison for OJT (On the Job Training programs), provide assistance and training to ODJFS staff in completing Trade OJT contracts, marked the advantages and benefits of using State Services to local employers, provide Rapid Response activities to include layoff aversion and initial meetings, maintain technical expertise of Ohio Red and provide assistance and training to ODJFS and local staff, demonstrate technical expertise in all aspects of OMJ and SCOTI to include Job Seeker and Employer, provide training to employers, One Stop, and ODJFS staff, remain up to date on Labor Exchange systems to include SCOTI, LIM and OMH techniques and procedures, offering technical assistance to employers and One Stop partners.

Previously worked as the Apprenticeship Service Provider Account Executive for North West Ohio. Responsibilities included promoting the apprenticeship model by marketing the Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) Apprenticeship System to individuals, employers and organizations, established working relationships with colleges, universities, adult career centers, joint vocational institutions, community partners, businesses, economic development offices, served ad liaison in delivery of apprentice services within Northwest Ohio to employers and organizations, interpreted and applies rules, regulations, related acts and executive orders in order to ensure compliance with established laws, statues and guidelines governing Apprenticeship, monitored programs for Equal Opportunity compliance and quality performance, assisted employers in writing standards, selecting training providers, interpreting and applying labor marked data for to create workforce analysis and affirmative action plans, assisted apprenticeship sponsors in developing marketing plans while monitoring accomplishments and adjusting plans as needed to assure best services.

Previous employment includes working in additional state programs including unemployment, employment services, and customer service and as a Labor Market Black belt.

Education consists of Bachelors in Business from Bowling Green State University, a Masters in Liberal Studies focusing in Public Administration and African Studies and a Masters Certification in Municipal Administration from the University of Ohio.
