Redlining Workshop Flyer 2026-04-14
SUNDAY, MARCH 22, 2026–For decades the legacy of racist redlining in home sales and home financing has plagued Toledo and other American cities placing people of color and their descendants at an economic disadvantage compared to white residents and their children and grandchildren.
On April 14 a Redlining Workshop will be presented from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lucas County EMS Training Center, 2127 Jefferson Ave., in downtown Toledo.
The workshop will:
- Discuss what redlining is and how it still impacts Toledo today.
- Explore connections between housing, health, education, and the environment.
- Recognize modern day housing discrimination.
- Learn what you can do to help build more inclusive communities.
The workshop is sponsored by the Fair Housing Center, Lucas County Family and Children First Council, Impact Toledo and Lucas County.
